EASTSIDE STUDENTS seeks to equip and encourage the parents of our church as they point their students to the hope of the gospel and the goodness of Jesus in all things. We invest deeply in families of every stage and season and seek to create a culture that champions the New Testament idea of the “household of faith,” in which all members at Eastside – whether they have children or not – feel invited into the unique privilege and opportunity of spiritually parenting the children God has entrusted to the broader “family” of our church. We also aim to create a safe place for students to ask questions about the world, the faith, and the culture around them.
We do this primarily through:
First Sunday Gatherings:
On the first Sunday of each month, students fourth grade and up gather to eat, spend time together, listen to a brief message, and discuss foundational truths and big questions.

Individual Investment:
At Eastside, we view students in the same way we view adults—as individuals who need to be known and discipled. We strive to create a culture in which more spiritually mature individuals in our church take responsibility to get to know and invest in individual students. We also desire for students to experience Christ-centered community through discipleship groups.

Parent Equipping:
Through events such as Parents’ Weekend, Eastside regularly provides opportunities for parents to gather and discuss parenting issues. Our hope is that these events provide community support for parents and train parents in how to raise up their children according to the Word of God.
